As one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Canada, the Town of Milton represents a thriving blend of old and new, urban and rural, all nestled within the scenic Niagara Escarpment. The Town’s population of 100,000 will grow to 160,000 by 2025 and requires an experienced leader to provide strategic leadership and execute the policies and plans within a human resources context. Reporting to the Deputy CAO/CFO, the Director, Human Resources leads a team in all facets of human resources while providing strategic leadership, advice, and support to people leaders within the corporation. The Director advocates for collaboration and partnerships to promote organizational effectiveness and an engaged workforce.

In addition to your degree and CHRL, you possess more than 10 years of progressive human resources experience, gained within a complex, multi-stakeholder, and unionized environment. You are skilled in training and development, implementing strategies that align with the organization’s mission and vision, and have presented and interacted with senior leaders. Your ability to establish a high level of client trust and confidence across departments, sets you apart. Your passion for creating clear paths for employee growth and development has resulted in deep loyalty and commitment to the organizations in which you’ve served.
